HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the
Bangkok Chefs Charity and Gala Dinner 2012 held at the Royal Ballroom of the
Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok recently. Proceeds of the dinner are
designated to help the Border Patrol Police schools under Her Royal
Patronage as well as for the underprivileged school children in northern
Thailand. General managers and executive chefs from twenty-one of Thailand’s
most prestigious hotels and Thai Airways International were selected to
prepare a grand feast for the charitable cause. Two Dusit International
hotels were among the participants - Dusit Thani Bangkok and Dusit Thani
Pattaya, the latter whose general manager Chatchawal Supachayanont
(front row 2nd right) attended with the hotel’s executive chef Adrian W.
O’Herlihy.

Ong-art Khampaiboon presided over the opening ceremony of
“Art Exhibition No.5” by the holiday artists club of Thailand at the
Amari Watergate Bangkok recently. The proceeds of the event will be
donated to poor artists through the holiday artists club of Thailand. (l-r)
Dr. Krittika Kongsompong, Pierre Andre Pelletier, the hotel’s GM, Ajarn
Chalee Sodprasert, Ong-art Khampaiboon, Wanpen Jermprapai, Nichaya

Students and faculty members from the College of
Management at Mahidol University travelled to Pattaya recently to visit the
Father Ray Foundation. The students, accompanied by Assistant Dean of
the University, Usanee Phanchantraurai, donated a variety of basic everyday
items for the 850 children and students with disabilities currently living
at the foundation. A financial donation of nine thousand baht was also
presented to the foundation.

Dhaninrat Klinhom (standing 6th right), marketing communications manager,
and his Blue Energy team from the Hilton Pattaya participated in the
‘International Coastal Clean-up 2012’. The event was organized by the
Coca-Cola system in Thailand, which included Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd., Thai
Namthip Ltd., and Haad Thip PLC. More than 1,000 volunteers and NGOs
including representatives from Pattaya City led by Deputy Mayor Ronakit
Ekasingh (5th left), Department of Marine and Coastal Resource and the
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment also participated in the
clean-up project.

Lt. Col. Sutthichai Sornlump, commanding officer of the
2nd Infantry Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, Queen’s Guard receives a
generous donation of fitness equipment from Panond Viravaidya, executive of
the Pattaya International Corporation (Thailand) Group of companies
representing the Pattaya International Hospital and Sugar Hut
Resort. The military fitness program is code named ‘Twenty First
Fitness’.
