Philippe Kronberg as general manager at Hilton Pattaya

Hilton Worldwide recently announced the appointment of
Philippe Kronberg as general manager of Hilton Pattaya. In this role, he
will oversee hotel operations and lead the team in delivering quality and
exceptional guest experiences at this award-winning property.
Dirk De Cuyper, regional general manager - Thailand, Hilton Worldwide, said,
“Philippe is the ideal candidate to lead the team at Hilton Pattaya. His
outstanding track record and strong network in Asia formed through his years
in the industry will aid in continue striving Hilton Pattaya’s position as
the upscale hotel of choice for both business and leisure travelers. His
vast experience in the hospitality sector and, in particular his intricate
knowledge of the Asian market, will ensure that our discerning guests
continue to have a unique experience at the Hilton Pattaya. Under his

position as one of Thailand’s top luxury hotels.”
Holding dual citizenship of France and Australia, Philippe is well versed in
hotel management, having gained rich experience in the hospitality industry,
over 10 years of which has been spent with Hilton Worldwide. His climb into
the industry began with the Ritz London Ltd., which was his ascendance right
after his professional education from ‘Les Roches’ Switzerland. He had also
worked in a number of Hilton Worldwide properties in China, Japan, Australia
and Europe. Philippe’s investment into the industry has culminated in his
completion of his Hotel Management MBA awarded by the University of New
South Wales and University of Sydney.

THAI’s Second A380 arrives in Bangkok

and on the Goodwill Flight carrying medical equipment and a monetary
donation for the Veterans General Hospital and Thai Red Cross.
Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) and the Airbus
Corporate Foundation have transported medical equipment aboard the delivery
flight of THAI’s second Airbus A380 that is royally bestowed the name
“Mancha Khiri,” which arrived in Bangkok last week. In addition to the
medical equipment, the Airbus Foundation also provided a monetary donation
of 50,000 euros to the Thai Red Cross as a contribution for the support of
its children’s home in Bangkok.
The medical equipment delivered on the aircraft is destined for the Veterans
General Hospital in Bangkok. The supplies were donated by the Toulouse
University Hospital in France through French charity organization Aviation
Sans Frontières and included respirators, electrocardiograph (ECG) monitors,
plus an extensive range of medical aid kits.
Altogether, THAI has ordered six A380s. The aircraft delivered last week
will join the first aircraft that initially operated from Bangkok to Hong
Kong. In December, THAI will begin long-haul daily flights with the aircraft
from Bangkok to Frankfurt.
