Chatchawal Supachayanont (right), GM of Dusit Thani Pattaya together with his management team were granted an audience by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Chitralada Palace recently, where he presented a donation to supplement the Chai Pattana Foundation under the patronage of HM the King. This annual donation by the hotel staff and management will benefit the needy people by creating sustainable livelihood projects for them.


The Royal Cliff Hotels Group held a gathering to thank and honour the top Russian travel agents recently. On hand to welcome them were Group Managing Director Panga Vathanakul (4th right), Vice-President Vathanai Vathanakul (right), Director of Sales & Marketing Victor Kriventsov (second row, 4th right) and Counselor Andrey Dvornikov, Head of the Consular Section, Embassy of the Russian Federation to Thailand.


The 2nd group of graduates completed their Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) training course at the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya recently. They were presented with their certificates by Dr. Prayut Somprakit, CEO - Group 3 and Southern region, and Dr. Piyaporn Tippayarat, chairwoman of the training committee.


Saurabh Kukreja, Resident Manager and Nichaya Chaivisuth, Director of Communications & Public Relations, Amari Watergate Bangkok recently welcomed members of the Asean Journalists Association’s committee who were in Thailand to attend the Thai Journalist Association’s 58th anniversary party held at the Amari Watergate Bangkok. (L to R) Vorasak Pravongviengkham, Lao Journalists Association, Than Soe, Joint Secretary, Myanmar Journalists Association, Ha Minh Hue, First Vice President/Member of Vietnam’s Parliament, Vietnam Journalists Association, Bandhit Rajavatanadhanin, Honorary President, Confederation of Asean Journalists, Saurabh Kukreja, Khammuang Oudomhack, Manager, Lao Journalists Association, Nichaya Chaivisuth and Dumrit Viriyakul.


Enjoying a fun evening at the Hot Chilli Restaurant (View Talay 2B) recently were the restaurant manager Pasit Foobunma, Chef Noi, Bon Vivant Allan Riddell, Som Corness celebrating the end of one semester and Dr. Iain, critically sampling a South African wine.


While cruising the waters of South East Asia, the luxury liner Crystal Symphony sailed into Thai waters and docked at nearby Laem Chabang recently. Many guests rushed off to see the sights of Bangkok or spend their money in the shops of Pattaya. One group arrived in Pattaya and spent their time volunteering at the Redemptorist Vocational School for People with Disabilities. As well as learning about the school and meeting the students, the visitors also spent several hours painting the surrounding fence on the sports court, and they did a wonderful job.
