Staff of the Dusit Thani Pattaya gathered together
to celebrate Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year at the resort last
week. As part of the ceremonies scented water is poured over the hands of
their beloved GM Chatchawal Supachayanont whereby in return he blessed them

The management team of Amari Orchid Pattaya led by
GM Brendan Daly (2nd left) paid a courtesy call on Pattaya Mayor Itthiphol
Kunplome (3rd right) to introduce himself and also to convey hearty
greetings to him on the auspicious occasion of Songkran, the Thai New Year.
With him were EAM Latiporn Tongkhunna, HRM Prangvalai Joywong and Pichchaya
Nitikarn, PR manager of the hotel.
The Sheraton Pattaya Resort participated in Earth
Hour 2013 recently. Tomo Kuriyama (2nd right), GM of the hotel said, “It’s a
privilege for us to support such a powerful movement with such a simple
gesture. Earth Hour also reflects a philosophy we try to practice
year-round: The small steps each of us takes can make a big difference
together.”
Staff of the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya took part in
the traditional pouring of scented water on the hands of the senior
management to wish them luck and to receive blessings during Songkran last
week. Receiving and at the same time giving blessings were (l-r) Gerd K.

Manager, Paulo Matos, EAM, Wuthisak Pichayagan, EAM of F&B, Thanathip
Vihokhern, Chief Engineer and Daranat Nuchaikaew, HR Director.
Virithipa ‘Woonsen’ Pakdeeprasong (centre), popular
actress, VJ and TV host was on a location shoot for the 108 Living TV
program at the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G recently. She was welcomed by
GM Sophon Vongchatchainont (2nd left), accompanied by Kulakan Chamnankar
(left), PA to the GM, Nannadda Supakdhanasombat (2nd right), Director of
Marketing Communications and Marie Gonter (right), Events & Marketing
Director.
Students and faculty of the University of Indonesia
visited the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH) recently
as part of their MICE International Field Study 2013. Michael Goh, Resident
Manager of PEACH led them on an exciting and educational tour of the
facilities and operation services.

In preparation for the imminent forming of the ASEAN
Economic Community (AEC) in 2015, Borisuth Prasopsub (3rd left), Executive
Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Eastern Region invited
top TAT executives from Rayong, Chantaburi and Chonburi to a seminar to plan
strategies for handling the influx of tourists from these countries. The
meeting was held at A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel Pattaya, where Sunee
Vaewmanee (3rd right), the PR manager welcomed them. The guests included
Chuchart Oncharoen, Director of TAT Rayong & Chanthaburi; Chairat
Trirattanajarasporn, Chairman of Rayong Tourist Association, Watcharapol
Sarnsorn, Marketing Consultant of TAT Rayong & Chanthaburi; and Chaiwat
Tamthai, Assistant Director of TAT Pattaya.

At a ceremony recently held at the at Bamrasnaradura
Infectious Diseases Institute, Privy Councilor Professor Dr. Kasem
Wattanachai, representing the Thailand Hospital Administrator Association,
presented the “Best Hospital Executives award Year 2012, in the Best Private
Hospital Executives” category to Dr. Pichit Kangwolkij, Deputy CEO-Group 3
and Director of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya.
