More than 200 people signed up for the latest round of free foreign-language courses offered by Pattaya City Hall.
Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh welcomed the 236 students for the Russian, Chinese and Thai classes Jan. 30. The Chinese and English classes were split equally at 71 students while the Russian course attracted 94.
Thammasat University took over teaching of the classes this year, although the city’s Non-Formal Education Office will continue to oversee the curriculum. Each course runs 100 hours taught on weekends.
