Three dozen people hoping for a new career are learning about
foot and health massage at a month-long city workshop.
Pattaya Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn and Social Development
Department Director Pannee Limcharoen kicked off the Feb. 4-28 course at
the Soi Nongket Yai Community office. The course runs 150 hours and is
being taught by four massage therapists from Phanat Nikhom Hospital.
Wutisak said the 300,000 baht program is just the latest
vocational-training program offered by the city to aid the unemployed.
The course was only open to those with no massage experience.
