Bangkok Airways President Puttipong
Prasarttong-Osoth (centre) presided over the launch of the inaugural flight
from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) International Airport to Chiang Rai recently. He
said, “We see Chiang Rai as another potential destination to enhance tourism
and commerce within the region. The city is also a strategic gateway to
neighboring countries such as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the
Lao People’s Democratic Republic which is a pathway for the upcoming ASEAN
Economic Community as well as most southern parts of China.”

Wilaiwan Twitchsri (front row 5th right), Deputy Director
of Tourism Products, Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the “Excellent
Tourism and Service Marketing: Sustainable Betterment” training program at
the Cape Dara Resort Pattaya recently. The well attended training
session was conducted by Professor Jake Pataratanakul (front row 4th right).

Supatra Chirathivat, Executive Vice President Office of
Policy Management for Corporate Relations and CSR, Central Group Co., Ltd.
and Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Social Responsibilities
of Centara Hotels and Resorts presided over the Capital Market Academy (CMA)
class 17-18 “Pirates of the CMA” dinner party at Centara Grand Mirage

Chatchawal Supachayanont (standing centre), GM of the
Dusit Thani Pattaya, along with his executive team and staff took part
in the “Together with the world, Earth Hour 2014” event when all lights in
the hotel were turned off for one hour. Fun activities were organized for
hotel guests and staff during the dark period.

To mark Earth Hour, Hilton Pattaya held their 1st
Staircase race. Sornchai Ninsanti was declared the winner, running up 664 steps
covering 34 floors in 6 minutes and 40 seconds. (l-r) Phatrarika Phatraprasit,

Delegates from all over the Asia-Pacific region and the
Middle East met at the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall (PEACH)
recently for ADFEST 2014. During the action-packed event, Antonello Passa
(left), GM of the Royal Cliff Hotels Group presented the ‘Tree
Planting Certificate’ to the chairman of the ADFEST Steering Committee Vinit
Suraphongchai (right), in recognition of his support for the protection and
preservation of the hotel group’s environment program.

An art exhibition titled “Natural 1+1” by Chinese artist
Xi Shang was held at the Amari Watergate Bangkok recently. Part of the
proceeds of the event was earmarked for donation to underprivileged
