Three Pattaya neighborhoods told Pattaya leaders they want cleaner
streets, vacuumed drainage pipes and tidy utility lines at a Center for
Resolution of Complaints forum on improving living conditions.
City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai met with leaders of the Soi
Paniadchang, Soi 6 Yodsak, and Nong-or communities June 26 at the
Redemptorist Vocational School for Persons with Disabilities.
The Soi Paniadchang group had a long list of complaints, topped off by
garbage, both above and below ground. The street has too few garbage bins,
residents said, and trash that overflows from those bins is not being picked
up by Pattaya garbage collectors. Furthermore, drains below the streets need
to be sucked out, community leaders said.
The community also requested four curved traffic mirrors, repainting of
speed bumps, working closed-circuit television cameras, and replacement of
power lines on Paniadchang Soi 8.
The Soi 6 Yodsak Community requested street cleaning, drains vacuumed and
road repairs near Central Center. The group also wants better traffic
regulation.
In Nong-or, the messy tangle of utility lines needs cleaned up, residents
said.
