Students from Garden International School (GIS) are working like ‘greased
lightning’ to get ready for a performance of the classic musical Grease.
After weeks of rehearsing, the show has got groove, it’s got meaning, and
will be staged at GIS on November 5, 6 and 7.
If you want your ‘Summer Nights’ to be more entertaining, then head along to
GIS, where students will be ‘Hopelessly Devoted’ to entertaining you.
Staff and students have created some amazing costumes and sets to go along
with the musical, which was revived recently in the hit TV show ‘Glee’.
Tickets are just 120 baht before October 31, or 200 baht afterwards. They
are available from school or will be available on the door. The show starts
at 7pm. Food and drinks will be available to buy.
Looking good! GIS’s male
actors prepare for Grease.

Regents Food Fair a success

Regents International School Pattaya hosted their first ever Fine Foods and
Artisan Craft Fair last Sunday to the appreciation of over 350 happy patrons.
Held under the clock tower at Regents International School Pattaya, the
free-to-enter fair was a huge success, thanks in part to glorious Sunday
afternoon skies, bereft of the heavy rainfall Pattaya has been experiencing
lately.
Over twenty exhibitors showed off their wares to the Regents School community
and general public, which included deli meats, chutneys, ice cream, leather
goods, jewelry and clothing.
Just looking at those sausages
makes me hungry.
The fair was such a success that Tim Eaton from Regents
declared, “The Fine Foods and Artisan Craft Fair went beyond even my
expectations and we will definitely be hosting another one next year.”
Fair organiser Rainer Rössler described the fair as a full-on success. “I spoke
to all the vendors during and after the event and all seemed to be very happy,
especially considering it was the first event of its kind at Regents. Many of
them asked me when we will host the next fair.”
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for the next one, which is likely to be in the
first half of 2015.

King Power Pattaya donated 10,000 baht to supply sports uniforms to
Pattaya area students.
Operations manager Sumitr Wongsamart presented the donation to Pattaya Deputy
Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn Oct. 13 at city hall.
The mission is to support the students who are participating in sporting
activities, including the Eastern Local Government Organizations Games being
held at the Eastern National Indoor Stadium Oct. 22-31.
The Chonburi Games feature six different sports, including football, futsal,
rattan ball, volleyball, petanque and running with other 60 participating
athletes.
The donation will buy 60 uniforms.
The objective of the donation from King Power is to support the students with
their education, attract them to play sports and for public reasons. They focus
on students who don’t have privileges and use the sporting outfits for the best
results, which is another way of attracting students to play sport and focus on
education at the same time. King Power will continue to support the people in
the community and in the country as well.
