Time defined
Dear Sir,
In “How would you define time?” I’ve taken the bait, but it may not be the
answer you are looking for? Anyway, here goes....
What is Time? Time is wise —
“It is natures way of keeping everything from happening all at once.”
“There is a Time for all things.” (Proverb)
What is Time? Time is a scale —
Measuring our life journey from birth through happiness and trials.
What is Time? Time is a gift —
Being able to be with loved-ones & give help to the needy.
What is Time? Time is motion —
A dog’s tail wagging. Hands a-clapping. Feet a-tripping. To music swaying.
What is Time? Time waits for no man —
It gives us the opportunity to do better; to learn, to strive.
“Times change and we change with them.” (Proverb)
What is Time? Time is consuming —
With computers. Traffic jams. Procrastination’s.
What is Time? Time is beauty —
A butterfly hovering over colourful flowers gently rocked by the breeze.
Tempus Fugit. So use your Time to do the best you can and your life on earth
will be sublime!
“Gather ye rosebuds while you may,
Old Time is a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today,
Tomorrow will be dying.” (Robert Herrick)
For Auld Lang Syne.
