1st Thai Coffee Extravaganza postponed
Mr. Urs Brunner, Managing Director of Bon-Cafe, an-nounced at the final
organi-zation meeting on January 18 that the 1st Thai Coffee Extravaganza,
scheduled for January 26, has been post-poned due to lack of interest.
Mr. Brunner told his audience that he received a telephone call from Alois
Fassbind of the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on Thursday, January 16, informing
him that at that time, no applications for the children’s fancy dress
contest had yet been received, and that not enough applications for the
coffee-cake competition had arrived. No entrance tickets had been sold as
well. Mr. Fassbind also revealed that the license needed for the big raffle
was not granted.
Mr. Brunner said during his speech at the meeting, “This big event is only
postponed. We will not give up on the idea of holding it, but we have to do
some re-thinking and re-organizing. We still believe this can be done very
successfully, but maybe this was the wrong time. We have already started to
plan the new 1st Thai Coffee Extravaganza, which we hope to hold in the near
future.”
Bon-Cafe and the Royal Cliff Beach Resort would like to thank all the
sponsors for their outstanding support: Tourism Authority of Thailand; Thai
Hotel Association, Eastern Chapter; The Chaine des Rotisseurs, Pattaya;
Pattaya International Ladies Club; Foster Wheeler & Ladies Club; Pattaya
Mail; Rotary Club of Jomtien/Pattaya; Allied Domegu.
