Elected and government officials of Chonburi helped the people at a ‘grass-roots’ level by giving uniforms to 300 needy students and miscellaneous personal items to 400 senior citizens.

Visit Chawalitanititham, the Head of the Sawang Boriboon Foundation of Pattaya, threw a party to celebrate the handover of Hong Kong to the People’s Republic of China. The Chinese Media Association of Pattaya were guests at the party. Chonburi MP Charnsak Chawalitinititham, Pairat Suthithamrongsawat, former mayor of Pattaya and mainland Chinese nationals who have businesses in the South Pattaya area were out in force at the meeting hall of the Sawang Boriboon Foundation.

Mr. Boonlert Nomsilp, The Mayor of Laem Chabang Municipality, welcomed a group from the Pok Krong Academy who came to do an ‘educational observation’. Mr. Boonlert gave an explanation of the municipality’s various works and then took the group to see the Thai Oil Company’s Laem Chabang refinery and the pier. Thai Oil provided the group with a luncheon, after which the group went back to the academy.

David Gwynne, Construction Manager of Foster Wheeler Co., Ltd. in Sriracha recently was the guest of honour at the wedding ceremony of his secretary Ms. Pojana Kalwantawanich and Mr. Anek Yantana at Cholburi room of the Ambassador City Jomtien Hotel.

The management of the Amari Orchid Resort, led by General Manager Pierre-Andre Pelletier, held the Orientation Course entitled “Welcome to Amari Team” for new staff at the resort.

Miss Madeleine Long, trade commissioner of the Australian Embassy, opened the Food & Wine Australian promotion last weekend, seen flanked by Mr. Andrew Low, the hotel’s General Manager. The food festival continues until August 2nd at the La Mer Grill Montien Hotel Pattaya.

Bangkok Airways recently supported “ZONE ONE” Channel 9’s television programme produced by Siam International Media Co. Ltd., contributing air tickets to the viewers who participate in the show. Directors and Management of both companies are seen here with the giant air tickets.
