Pattayas Road Show leaves for Down Under After many weeks of planning, the 30-person strong Pattaya Road Show leaves this Saturday, 19th June for New Zealand and Australia. The Pattaya Road Show travellers gather for a press conference at the Dusit Resort Pattaya prior to heading Down Under to promote the resort. This publicity and promotions machine is one of the strongest tourism programmes to be mounted by any city in Thailand. It has been produced by an amalgamation of many interests, both Civic Government and Private Enterprise, to promote Pattaya in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney. The Governor of Chonburi, Sutjarit Patchimnan, and the Mayor of Pattaya City, Pairat Suthithamrongsawat, have considered that this is such an important promotion, that both have confirmed their attendance on the travelling road show. Eight of our top resorts are represented in the group as well as four hotels, travel agencies, tourist attractions and a department store. In addition, the Tourism Authority of Thailand with its local director will be "on the road" with them. Thai Airways International has also given a large amount of support to this promotion. |
