Skal looking forward to ITB and Asian Assembly
The recently re-activated, and very active, Skal Club
of Pattaya and East Thailand held their monthly meeting at the Aung Kham
Restaurant on 3rd Road. President Murray Hertz was unable to attend, but
was in the Philippines gaining first hand information regarding the XXXI
Skal Asian Assembly in Manila to be held May 24 to 26 this year. For the
Manila Skal Club it is also a most auspicious time, being the 50th
Anniversary of that club.
The local members were also brought up to date with the
7 million baht “re-launch” of Pattaya to be held at the ITB (the
world’s largest tourism expo) to be held in Germany on the 16th to 20th
March. Following the many improvements to Pattaya, the water treatment
plant being just one of them, it was decided that Pattaya should inform
the world of the advancements that have been undertaken over the past
couple of years by Pattaya City. Many of the Skal club members (the
premier tourism and hospitality group in the world) will be at the ITB to
boost the Pattaya image to the world.
During
their monthly meeting at the Aung Kham Restaurant, the Skal Club of
Pattaya and East Thailand discussed the upcoming XXXI Skal Asian Assembly
in Manila and the 7 million baht “re-launch” of Pattaya to be held
this month at the ITB (the world’s largest tourism expo).
