Group’s managing director, Mrs. Sopin Thappajug (center), along with
staff, friends, special guests, area businessmen and members from the
community celebrate laying the foundation stone on February 25 at the site
of the group’s new resort for long staying residents.
Diana Group’s managing director, Mrs. Sopin Thappajug
on February 25 laid the foundation stone at the site of the group’s new
Long Stay Resort. The concept of the resort is to provide special
conveniences for the disabled, retirees and employees staying in the area
on long term contracts.
A Brahmin sacrificial ceremony (buang saruang)
was included during the laying of the symbolic stone, and grains of rice
and flower petals were added before closure. The staff from Diana Group
participated in the ceremony, as did special guests and friends.
Located off North Pattaya Road, just 200 meters from
Sukhumvit on four rai of land, the project includes eight “Thai Lanna
style” housing units and a 70-unit, six-story complex added to the
existing 48-unit building. The facilities include a swimming pool, driving
range and fitness center.
The Diana Group’s “long stay” resort will offer
facilities unlike any other in Pattaya. The units on the ground floor are
to be reserved for older people or people with physical disabilities, and
will provide all the necessary conveniences, including elevators to access
other floors.
Multi-purpose conference rooms with capacities of 50-70
people will dominate the 2 nd
floor, and the remaining floors will include one and two bedroom units.
Construction should be completed and the building ready
for occupancy by the end of the year.
“Long staying tourists are considered a viable group
having significant importance and are much desired in the business
community. Diana Group has over 20-years experience working with foreign
tourists and is fully prepared to make this new venture a success,” Ms.
Sopin said.

The Moon River Pub at the Thai Garden Resort shows its Colours
by Elfi Seitz
Those who know the Moon River Pub believe that a visit
there always puts some colour to one’s life. Very true in a way - but
now, the pub is really showing its true colours.
“Colours”
will be performing at the Moon River Pub from March 14 onwards.
“Colours” is the name of the new band that will
start performing at the Moon River Pub beginning March 14th. This newly
formed group is made up of some of the former members of the famous
“Island Soul” band from Trinidad, plus two Filipinos from Manila.
The lead singer of the group is Hawk, a very tall man
who has lots of rhythm in his hips, a smooth voice and incredibly sexy
eyes. His female counterpart, the beautiful Glendy is from the
Philippines, and one can guess from her hot-blooded, appealing appearance
that she must have Spanish ancestors.
The second Filipino in the group is Tony, a master of
the keyboards, and the last two members of “Colours” are again from
Trinidad: Noel, a true angel playing the bass guitar and Richard, the
“heavy”, good humoured drummer.
The group plays the hot rhythm of the Caribbean Islands
as well as all modern songs, and each member performs with great skill and
style.
Don’t miss “Colours” at the Moon River Pub from
March 14th onwards; listen to the sounds of the new and colourful
“Colours” and let yourself get carried away by their charm and soul.
