A special birthday celebration for popular and renowned Pattaya Mail columnist Peter Cummins (center, cutting cake) was one of the highlights of the recent Winemakers Dinners at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort. Peter wouldn’t admit to his exact age, only saying that “You’re only as old as you feel, and I feel great!”


Pretty Verena Montag from Germany recently cut her birthday cake at the coffee shop of the Thai Garden Resort, where she and her charming mother from Holland spent a few weeks of vacation. Verena also supplemented her vacation by working several weeks at the Thai German Institute as a part time secretary for German director Walter Kretschmar. Both Verena and her mother enjoyed their stay in Pattaya so much, they promised to be back real soon.


Some of the nicest people one could ever meet: Paul and Bernie Gallagher, Willie & Mary Cavey, Leo & Gwen Russel from Ireland with the Shenanigans staff.


Mr. Fred recently married Ms Linda at the Jomtien Orchid Hotel. At last report, the couple were still very happy together.


Kaarin Pussinen (with flowers), a repeating guest, celebrated her birthday with a party at the Montien Hotel Pattaya, where she was surrounded by friends and hotel management.

 


The Samakhom Chomdao TV program team, led by Surivipa Kultangwattana, Kathleeya McIntoch and Paul Pattarapol recently visited the Horseshoe Point Resort & Country Club, where they were welcomed by Chanya Srifuengfung (right), Jate Sophitpongsathorn and Niraphan Wannakit (left), public relations manager.

 


Trane China recently organized their 2002 sales conference at the Dusit Resort Hotel Pattaya. More than 270 attendees from all parts of the People’s Republic of China joined this first overseas meeting. Photo shows the group at the top of the Lagoon Pool.
