Clubs

The Pattaya Expats Club is all about expats helping expats and all nationalities are welcome. Free assistance on one year visas, medical insurance, home buying, and more. So, find out the facts before you make an expensive mistake! Breakfast meetings every Sunday, 11 a.m. at Cafe New Orleans, Soi Pattayaland 2 South Pattaya. This Sunday, April 21, there will be a special presentation on buying a home in Pattaya. Spring break in Paradise! Hans Banziger and his team at the Paradise Cafe and Grill take a spring break from April 9th to 30th. The restaurant will re-open on May 1st, and “Mango Delights” will be the food promotion for May, including half a dozen dishes with delicious mango, as well as some new ostrich dishes. Education

In less than two months of operation, AUA have already had over three hundred and twenty students register for English language courses at their new school in the Pattaya Bazaar. To accommodate the many inquiries for daytime classes, AUA are running three-week summer courses. The next course runs from April 22 - May 9. Events

Rotary Music Festival of the Eastern Seaboard, April 21 at the Laem Chabang Public Gardens from 6 p.m. The Rotary Music Festival features Luk Toong, Racing Rabbit, famous Thai folk music and a Chinese round table banquet with multiple courses of snacks, pork, chicken, fish and many other surprises. Tables of 8 persons are priced at 1,600 baht or 200 baht per person. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Bang Saen, Laem Chabang and Pattaya. The 2002 Pattaya Gay Festival Football Tournament is about to get underway. The tournament will start on April 25 and will be played on the field at Pattaya School #8 at the corner of Pattaya Tai and 2nd Road. The games will be at 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. and an up to date schedule will be posted outside of the Ambience Hotel on Pattayaland 3 and on the PGF web site at: www.pattayagayfestival.com With this great venue, it will be much easier for football fans to come out to watch the tournament this year. All are welcome, admission is free. There will be a donation box for those who would like to give something for the PGF charities.

KR Bar is setting a new trend for Songkran in Jomtien with a guarantee of warm water this year. Owner Apple, mindful of the complaints that some bars have been using iced water to “greet” their guests over Songkran has decided that for a warm welcome, it will be warm water. She also reminds her customers to put their wallets in plastic bags, but if you have not remembered, the lovely ladies will supply one for you.

Now Free Pool at the air-conditioned Zebra Entertainment Plaza on Soi 2 throughout the Songkran Festival. Discount drinks, good music and pleasant atmosphere. Join in the fun, and now until the end of June, the Zebra Entertainment Plaza is inviting everyone to their join the bottle club. Purchase a bottle of your favorite whisky or vodka at a discounted price. Mixers, ice and good times are provided by the delightful hostesses. The Warbler 2 at the Baiyoke Hotel has live western music from their international band Monday to Friday from 9 p.m. and live sports on the weekend.

Those in the know predict that the multi-national band “Colours”, playing at the Moon River Pub at the Thai Garden Resort on North Pattaya Road, will become known as one of the best bands in Pattaya. The band plays nightly from 9 p.m. to 1.45 a.m. (except Mondays). Don’t miss their hot rhythm!

Where is the only Elvis Show in Pattaya? At the Elvis Pub of course! See Thailand’s only Western Elvis tribute artist ‘Ritchie Newton’ with his fantastic show from Wednesday till Saturday.
