Famous Mount Everest climber at the Amari Airport Hotel

The management team of the Amari Airport Hotel hosted a welcome cocktail party for Tashi Tenzing, famous Mount Everest climber at Henry J. Bean’s Bar and Grill. Tenzing reached Everest’s highest peak (8,848 meters) on May 16, 2002 with a Swiss expedition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Everest.

Tashi Tenzing is the grandson of the famous Sherpa Norgay Tenzin, who together with Sir Edmund Hillary, were the first men to reach the highest peak of Mount Everest on May 29, 1953.
