Hard Rock Hotel holding first annual hotel sports competition

On July 15, Andrew Khoo, general manager of the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Hard Rock Sports Competition 2002”. The opening ceremonies took place at the sports lawn of the Hard Rock Hotel. 429 people from the management and staff are participating in the fun and games.

The launch party for the new German language weekly newspaper, the Pattaya Blatt, was held at the Thai Garden Resort with the Cristina Bien-Betourne concert. Not only was this a joint effort, but the proceeds from the evening and the charity auction were donated to local aid organizations.

Sunisa Sailomyen wins women’s division for second consecutive year

In the pre-dawn hours of Sunday, July 21, over 10,000 runners hit the streets for this year’s running of the Pattaya International Marathon. Just 2 hours, 32 minutes and 23 seconds later, Russian Victor Baranov crossed the finish line first to win the Men’s International Open Division.
