The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) UAE and Middle
East office recently organized a familiarization trip for eleven senior
journalists from the Gulf region. The familiarization trip was one of many that
has been organized recently by the TAT to boost tourism to Thailand following
declining visitor numbers due to the SARS crisis and the conflict in the Middle
East. The group of journalists was accompanied by the TAT’s regional manager
for UAE and Middle East, Adnan Abou Hijab (standing, 5th left) and welcomed to
the Royal Cliff Beach Resort by director of sales, Victor Kriventsov
(standing, 4th left) and communications manager, Zahid Ali (standing, far
right).
