Bruno Keller said, “Mayor Pairat works very hard to
promote Pattaya and has put in tremendous effort to improve Pattaya’s
image. Through his (Pairat’s) efforts, the city became cleaner, more
secure and more beautiful”. Bruno continued saying, “The mayor has
always supported the Rotary Club in all our charity programmes and we feel
that he deserves one of Rotary’s highest honours for service to the
community. This is a symbol of our thanks to a great man and a leader of
this city.”
Thai
tradition brought to life through a dance bringing forth smiles upon all.
The mayor thanked the club members in a moving speech and
promised to further do his best to help the club and to work for improving
the city even further.
Elfi Seitz executive editor of the Pattaya Blatt was also
presented with a plaque of appreciation for her incessant help to the Rotary
ideals and assistance in many of the club’s projects throughout the years.

Keller’s inspirational speech.
The fun-part of the event was the drawing of a picture in
which all guests had to participate with a few strokes of the paintbrush
followed by the next person, resulting in a very funny painting. The plan of
the club is to auction it at one of the next events.
