There is a thriving French-speaking community in Pattaya.
Far away from France and other French-speaking countries, the children are
involved in the French distance learning program (CNED) coordinated from the
Espace Francophone in the French Consulate building.
Hands-on
training
Usually they have to sit and take assessments to be sent
for evaluation and grading to France, but on March 10 they were involved in
a more pleasurable activity: They met with 3 French globetrotters who had
come all the way from France by rail and sea, stopping in many countries and
teaching children how to throw and catch the boomerang.

The French speaking children spent an enjoyable time on
Pattaya Beach mastering the art of throwing and catching the boomerang. The
humble boomerang will become a symbol of unity between nations since the
children of many countries will share their boomerang website where they
will exchange photos and correspond with other children all around the
