Songkran madness strikes again

All in good fun

So much for safety regulations – four to a motorcycle, and not one with a helmet. Once again madness reined (and rained) on the streets of Naklua, Pattaya and the rest of the country during the all out water wars known as Songkran. However, despite some taking umbrage to the shenanigans, it was all in good fun. More photos and full story next week when our computers and cameras dry out.

Senior citizens receive traditional Songkran blessings

Enjoy National Senior Citizens Day

Songkran is traditionally a time for family and every April 13 is declared National Senior Citizens Day. In a special ceremony held at the Soi Bua Khao Public Health Clinic, over 200 seniors from the local senior citizens club were treated to special blessings, lunch and festivities.

Hot action on the beach kicks off Pattaya Sports Festival

Pattaya’s first official sports festival got underway as the nation began Songkran holidays, and from April 13 to 17 sports fans were entertained by a myriad of sports and activities on and off Jomtien Beach with the event literally kicking off with the beach football competition.
