Cruise ship pier project looking doubtful

Local writer becomes an author

What is the difference between a ‘writer’ and an ‘author’? According to our newest local author, it is about 40 years. This author is the Pattaya Mail’s special correspondent, Dr. Iain Corness, who has just had the satisfaction of seeing his first book on the shelves. “I had my first magazine article published in 1967 and have been writing ever since, but it was not till this year (2007) that my first book was published.

Jesters 10th Charity Drive enjoys fabulous 7.25 million wrap

The Jesters Children’s Fair was a resounding success, so all that was left was the Jesters Sporting Party Night to round off the 2007 Charity Drive in style. The ‘Party’ kicked off in earnest at 6.45 pm when Erik Sorensen (left) and Robert Jonasson (right) arrived back from Trat after yet another exhausting, but highly successful marathon cycle ride with sponsorship this year approaching 750,000 baht. And what a fabulous night it was at Jameson’s Irish Pub on Saturday 15th September for the final fund-raising event of the Jesters 10th Anniversary ‘Care for Kids’ Charity Drive year.
