The Charity Club of Pattaya’s Clothing Appeal: In preparation of the cold weather hitting the north of Thailand, the Charity Club of Pattaya will be collecting clothing, shoes and blankets for the people and children of Esarn. The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, October 7. The Club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m. This week the PCEC welcomes Gav Valentine, an Australian TV producer. Gav will be introducing his new Saturday evening local interest program to be shown on Sophon TV. The program is being designed to include many different aspects of life in and around Pattaya. Gav will also be seeking ideas and help with the content, especially to show a more positive light on expat life in Pattaya. This will be followed by the ever lively Open Forum and update on happenings in and around Pattaya. A full report appears each week in Pattaya Mail. For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgemental and empathetic listening services on the phone. The Royal British Legion, Chonburi Thailand branch is now up and running at Tropical Bert’s. You do not have to have served in H.M. armed services to join as long as you support the principles of the Legion you are more than welcome. All members receive a 15% discount every day at the bar and we have a get together every Sunday lunch (free food). New and only at Moon River Pub! The After Work Club, Sunday through Thursday, 7 pm to midnight, offers guests a Western or Thai evening menu. Groups of 30 people may choose from the European and Thai all you can eat buffet (booking 1 day in advance). The all you can drink (wine, beer, juice, soft drinks, whiskey, tequila, etc.) counts for both offers. Price per person: 1,000 baht each. The Moon River Pub is located in front of the Thai Garden Resort, North Pattaya Road.

Amor Restaurant, serving fine food in Pattaya for over 13 years, offers a daily special set menu throughout the week.
