The next Pattaya City
Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday, May 10. The club meets
every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach
Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual
at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m.,
everyone welcome. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on
various subjects of interest in an informal setting. Our speakers this week,
Peter and Gert Persson, will have a very interesting topic; they will be
speaking about a planned ferry service from Pattaya to Hua Hin. This talk
will be followed by the ever-lively and often humorous Open Forum and an

Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis
intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to

offers free Moxibustion and Meditation: Gallery owner and fine
artist Jieng Sae Jern is offering a special invitation to visit the Gmbái
Art Gallery on Thursday afternoons in May for tea and conversation along
with an introduction to the ancient practice of moxibustion and meditation.
Moxibustion involves the burning of the mugwort herb and, as with most forms
of traditional Chinese medicine, strengthens the blood, stimulates the flow
