On the occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday, the
Amari Orchid Pattaya, in conjunction with the Royal Project and Central
Center Pattaya, proudly present the world’s longest Passion Fruit Sacher
Cake at 78 meters (fresh passion fruit from the Royal Project). This event
will be held at Central Center Pattaya, from August 11-15. There will also

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) will be holding their annual
Holiday Bazaar at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort Pattaya on Saturday, October
2. This event gives PILC members and the public a chance to meet up, either
sell or buy an array of goods from silverware, to jewelry, to local
handicrafts, to food and wine, and to help the PILC collect money to support

Clubs and Associations
The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will
be on Sunday, July 25. Everyone is warmly welcome. The Club meets every
Sunday morning at The Tavern by the Sea (formerly Henry J. Bean’s) located
on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The
program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from
9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to
talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week’s
scheduled speaker will be Madison Morrison, an academic now retired in
Pattaya. His presentation will be on the exotic elements in popular Thai
sculptures. The program is followed by the ever lively and often humorous
Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in
Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya. A full report

For the past 28 years the Samaritans of Thailand
have been providing confidential crisis intervention services over the
telephone. The English-speaking unit, Samaritans English Help Line operates
24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support to the expatriate
community. English-speaking staff, trained in crisis intervention will
provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic listening services on the
phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous basis and are free of

The French speaking Rotary Club Pattaya Marina

The Royal British Legion meets at Tropical Bert’s,
