Pattaya Players theatrical troupe will be holding its fourth annual Horseshoe Point Haunted Halloween event on Saturday, October 29, at the Three Kingdoms Park in Horseshoe Point Resort.  The highlight of this year’s ghostly gathering will be the all-new “Haunted Labyrinth” - an exciting and scary maze featuring demented criminals, creepy crawlies, paranormal poltergeists, and much more.  In addition to the Haunted Labyrinth, there will be many activities, rides and live shows for children and adults of all ages to enjoy!  Fair-style food and drinks will be on sale all night long from 6 p.m. onwards.  The admission price will be 200 baht per person and will come with 10 complimentary tickets for the attractions games and rides.  For more details, go to www.pattayaplayers.org.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) will be conducting three days of training in Pattaya from Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th October on safeguarding children.  CEOP is currently seeking corporate sponsorship to help defray some of the costs of this training which will equip those who work directly with children and young people to educate and empower the most vulnerable in our society to help protect themselves from harm, both online and in the ‘real world’.  If you are in a position to assist, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

Clubs and Associations

The next meeting of Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) will be on Sunday, October 23.  Everyone is warmly welcome.  The scheduled speaker is Barry Upton.  Barry is a successful hit songwriter, arranger, musician and producer of many different forms of popular music.  The Club meets every Sunday morning at the Tavern by the Sea restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road (part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Each week the PCEC usually has an interesting speaker to talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. The program is followed by the ever lively and often humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya.
