Aree Kunapongkul
On Thursday, August 30 from 7.30 p.m. onwards, Hard Rock
Hotel Pattaya together with New Frontier Music Academy, Acorn Distribution
and Pattaya Mail Media Group present an evening of classical music
composed by Franz Schubert in supports of Young Women’s Christian
Association (YWCA) of Bangkok - Pattaya Center.
Franz Peter Schubert (1797 - 1828) was an Austrian
composer. In a short lifespan of just nearly 32 years, Schubert was a
prolific composer, writing some 600 Lieder, nine symphonies (including the
famous “Unfinished Symphony”), liturgical music, operas, some incidental
music, and a large body of chamber and solo piano music. Today, Schubert is
seen as one of the leading exponents of the early Romantic era in music and
he remains one of the most frequently performed composers.
