The Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce Thailand in collaboration with VIE Hotel Bangkok hosted the Australian-Alumni’s Creative Alumni Showcase, for a large number of Thais graduates from Australian educational institutions and guests recently. The event was aimed at networking and strengthening relationships among Australian alumni. Staff and management of Dusit Thani Pattaya, led by GM Chatchawal Supachayanont (centre), made merit at the Jittapawan Temple recently to deliver donations of cash and other items for the community. The occasion was also held to donate candles to mark one of the holiest days in Buddhism, ‘Asalaha Bucha Day’ on August 2. The temple visit is done every month as part of the hotel’s CSR initiatives that also include fund-raising to help poor villagers in the north.

One of the highlights of the 6th Pattaya Food & Hoteliers Expo 2012 held at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH) was the ‘Pattaya City Culinary Cup 2012’ international culinary competition, where 9 international and domestic culinary teams vigorously compete for the HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Trophy. The Royal Cliff Hotels Group won twelve medals including gold awards for F&B, Housekeeping and Spa plus the top prize in the Super Team Challenge 2012 “Gala Setting Supper team Challenge”.
