Sattahip monkeys destroy ‘don’t feed monkeys’ signs

It was almost as if the monkeys could read the signs that say “don’t feed the monkeys”. More than 1,000 monkeys destroyed four “no feeding” signs in Sattahip’s Khao Laem Phu Jao area July 16. Naval officer Atorn Ninla said monkeys are often seen waiting along the road leading up the mountain, waiting for people to feed them.  As the population grew, the animals began invading the Marine Corps base nearby, looking for food. It was almost as if the monkeys could read, as a troop of them destroyed 5 signs that say “don’t feed the monkeys”. Khet Udomsak Sub-district then put in signs...
