Pattaya’s Sanctuary of Truth will open in the evenings this month to give international fleet show visitors time to see the classic wooden temple.
Marketing Manager Anupong Kulpetchawanan welcomed Chonburi Deputy Gov. Chanchai Iamcharoen and Pattaya City Manager Chanapong Sriviset to the Naklua tourist attraction Nov. 2 for the first evening tour, along with Royal Thai Navy and tourism officials.
The opening comes in time for the Nov. 13-22 fleet review. Public officials wanted the sanctuary to open later to give foreign dignitaries a chance to see the cultural landmark.
The temple has been decorated with special lighting to highlight its features after dark. There also will be special light shows until the park closes at 10 p.m. each night.
