At the Lotus room of the Pattaya Redemptorist center, a press conference was held to declare the success of last years SOS Rice campaign.
In attendance were councilor Ratanachai Suthidechanai, the managing director of Diana Group Sopin Theppajug, and campaign secretary Ajjima Chaowalitthamrong.
The SOS Rice 2010campaign was set up to receive rice and funds from kind-hearted people to support over 850 kids and the disabled at the center.
The center is in need of 75,000 kilograms of rice every year. Tables were set throughout the city from last year December 3rd until January the 6th.
13,995 kilograms of rice and 504,813.25 baht in cash totaling 1,041,213 Baht were donated.
Rev. Patarapong Sriworakul received the donated items on behalf of the center and 34 project supporters were presented with certificates of appreciation.
