Sattahip police had to rescue a 15-year-old suspected motorbike thief from a mob that corralled the boy, alleging he also had robbed a local cemetery of donation money.

Police pulled the underage suspect from the crowd at Sattahip’s Baan Tao Thaan intersection March 3. Residents were screaming and cursing at the boy, with some physically assaulting him.

Police said the suspect confessed to stealing the motorbike with a 16-year-old friend to give to his girlfriend as a Valentine’s Day present.
