A press conference was held on the afternoon of march the 9th regarding various members of the police whom had conducted an undercover operation at the Nang Nuan Bar also known as the Albatross Club on Soi Khao Noi, as they suspected that there were women working there as prostitutes and whom were under the legal age.
The police had enlisted the help of two foreign men who acted as customers and armed with marked bank notes made a deal in the bar for two women to join them at their hotel for some adult fun.
One of the women was only 14 and the other one was 17, the transaction was made then the police moved in and arrested the owner of the bar 34 year old Ms. Thipaporn Naebsuk and her German husband 61 year old Mr. Heinrich Luts Meyer.
Mr. Heinrich confessed to have been living in Thailand for more than a decade, and had opened the bar with Ms. Thipaporn for the purpose of hiring underage girls to sexually service their customers.
The officers charged them with conspiring to human trafficking, for personal benefits, through prostitution by organizing or tricking children under 15 to sell sex, even if the child has consented.
They were both then transferred to the Banglamung’s investigating department for further legal proceedings.
