BANGKOK, 20 April 2012 – The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has reported a successful overall operation in the first quarter of this year, announcing it will improve the quality of service in preparation for the regional competition.
SET President Charamporn Jotikasthira announced that the overall performance reaches targets in the first quarter. He said that the SET is looking to focus on offering more products and services to listed companies and investors.
Mr Charamporn said the average stock circulation is currently 31 billion baht per day. The SET is developing a new transaction system to increase its capacity and speed to accommodate the growing connections in the region.
He said the new system will be used in July and will connect to the ASEAN Link stock transaction by August.
