Pattaya journalists joined with community leaders to raise money for their children’s education at the Pattaya Press Association’s first-ever charity bowling tournament.
The May 7 fundraiser at SF Strike Bowl inside Central Festival Pattaya Beach saw 96 teams compete in three divisions: team, men’s and women’s games.
Former MP and current National Reform Steering Assembly member Santsak Jamroon Ngampichet opened the event and handed out the top prize for best team score, which came in at 1,370.

Other locals participating included Nongprue Mayor Mai Chaiyanit, Pattaya Business & Tourism Association President Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn, YWCA Bangkok-Pattaya Center Chairwoman Praichit Jetapai, plus local politicians and advisors.
Winners of the three categories, mixed team, individual male and individual female pose with their trophies.
In addition to funds raised through entrance fees, former Pheu Thai Party politician Chanyuth Hengtrakul donated 50,000 baht to the fund for scholarships for Pattaya Press Association members’ children.
The top male individual score was 482 while the leading female individual score came in at 438.
