Nongprue officials donated 200 sets of bedding and a wheelchair to the sub-district’s homeless, poor and disabled residents.
Mayor Mai Chaiyanit presided over the May 20 ceremony. Blankets and bedding were contributed by the Protection Center for Homeless People Chonburi.
A wheelchair also was presented to 11-year-old Wanchart Homsa-ard, who is unable to walk.
Mai said the weather lately often feels like there are three seasons in one day. The bedding will help those unable to afford their own.
He said a survey will be conducted for future projects and authorities will continue to support area communities whenever possible. Finally, a committee meeting will be held to allocate budgets to aid those communities.
