MAE HONG SON – Mae Hong Son province is gearing up to host OTOP Fair 2016, which will take place from June 16 – 19 on Samphan Charoen Muang Road.
The event is aimed at raising the standards of One Tambon One Product (OTOP) items, as Thailand is now part of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). It will also inspire OTOP manufacturers to be more competitive and make their products known regionally.
A singing contest, as well as local food, performances and OTOP products from seven districts in Mae Hong Son are expected to feature at OTOP Fair 2016. Mae Sa Nga village will also be recognized as the next OTOP community on the first day of the fair.
To further promote tourism in the province, various species of trees and flowers will also be planted along the road, leading to various tourist attraction sites in the province.
