Sattahip opens language camp for AEC

Sattahip gave area youth a language camp offering English and Chinese lessons to prepare for the ASEAN Economic Community.

Khet Udomsak Mayor Pairoj Malakul Na Ayutthaya opened June 2-6 course at Singsamut School in Sattahip June 2 with more than 100 government officials and students in attendance.

Pairoj said the goal was to sharpen residents’ communication abilities, which will help the students in their studies as well as conversing with Thailand’s ASEAN neighbors.

Fifty students came from Singsamut School, 16 from Sattahip School, 18 from Nawik Yotin Boorana School, 16 from Lertpanya School and teachers from 4 different schools in Sattahip.
Guest instructors from JBS Language School in Rayong also will assist in the training. Both verbal and written language skills were included in the curriculum.
