Doctors have drained excess cerebrospinal fluid from the brain of His Majesty the King on Saturday and the treatment result is satisfactory, the Bureau of the Royal Household announce on Sunday.

A statement from the bureau said that doctors at Siriraj hospital found an abnormal increase of cerebrospinal fluid in HM the King and sought permission to change the drainage tube to drain the fluid without the use of anesthetic on Saturday evening.

Follow-up blood tests and electrocardiographic reading of the condition of the heart of HM the King after the treatment to correct the narrowing of an artery on June 7 shows the King’s heart muscles have strengthened, said the statement.
