BANGKOK, 30 June 2012 – Orient Thai Airlines is looking to purchase additional aircrafts in preparation for the advent of the Asean Economic Community (AEC) in 2015. It also revealed that its return to Don Muang Airport has been hassle-free.

Chairman of Orient Thai Airlines’ Advisory Board Mr. Udom Tantiprasongchai made known that the company has plans to increase the number of flights to support the initiation of the AEC three years from now. The actual number of the increased flights or airplane purchases depend on the number of passengers. The company will wait to see the actual increase of traveler numbers. The airline expects a Thai customer base of 10% to 15%.

Mr. Udom stated that the company has returned to offering services at Don Muang Airport since June 27. No problems with the airport and services have been detected so far.
