A Rayong woman went to the media after Pattaya police allegedly failed to act on her complaint that she was beaten by her Indian ex-husband.
Kanchana Pramoonpol, 45, told the press July 5 that she was abused by her Indian spouse, a compatriot, and a Thai woman the night before at a bar on Soi 16 off Walking Street.
After being treated for her cuts and bruises, she went to police, but claims the duty officer refused to take the report, telling her it would do nothing.
She said her ex-husband continued to threaten her and their school-age daughter via a messaging app and went to report the crime again, only to yet again be refused, Kanchana said.
