Pattaya Tourist Police made themselves visible during the busy holiday weekend, hoping to reassure the many tourists in the city of their safety on land and sea.
Commander Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn led patrols July 19 around Bali Hai Pier and South Pattaya where many visitors were packing onto ferries bound for Koh Larn.
He said the high-profile presence was to create trust among tourists during long holidays. There were many visitors coming into the area. Officials were on duty for the safety of people and property, and to generate trust during the holidays.
