2 busted for motorbike thefts

Two Chonburi men were arrested for allegedly stealing high-end motorbikes in the Pattaya area.

Peeranat Ou-ta, 29, and Natapong Hiewkhuntod, 21, were brought to a police news conference Aug. 3 following the theft of a Honda MSX from a Soi Paniadchang apartment house and a Honda Zoomer X from a parking lot on Sukhumvit Soi 54.

CCTV cameras spotted the men in an Isuzu pickup truck prowling through both areas. They were apprehended at the Fortune Inn in Ban Bung District.

Peeranat confessed he and Natapong were stealing seven motorbikes for gang leader Meti Mayutieng, who remains at large. The bikes were then sold at the Myanmar border in Kanchanaburi for 10,000-15,000 baht.
