An Australian man died in an apparent suicide leap from a Pattaya condo.
John Russell Calcutt, 59, died instantly after falling from the 15-storey 9 Karat Condo on Soi Arunothai 2 and through the roof of a lower-level awning Aug. 17.
An Australian friend said they had met earlier for a drink and Russell said he was returning to Australia and showed no signs of depression. The next thing he knew, Russell was dead.
Police are investigating the man’s death as a suicide.
