The Thailand Association for the Blind offered free healthy massages in honor of Mother’s Day.
Narongchai Puangnak, the group’s Chonburi representative, led more than 10 blind people to Pattaya City Hall Aug. 19 to provide massages for the elderly and others.
The Thai massages followed the proper technique, with practitioners using the ends of their fingers to press and hold about 10 seconds before releasing tension. Pressure points were manipulated on the head, neck and shoulders to make the customer feel relaxed.
The association plans to provide free massages in each of Chonburi’s 11 districts, with the next stop scheduled for Sriracha, by the end of the month.
