A Pattaya Issan food restaurant spun a web of intrigue when its deliveryman began arriving at customers’ doors in a Spiderman costume.
Chamnan Petchchu, 38, delivers spicy northeastern dishes for Sam Tam Hi-So Region 2 restaurant on Sukhumvit Soi 53/2, run by Thanaporn Phomsing, 50, and Pol. Sen. Sgt. Maj. Suwit Phomsing, 46.
Thanaporn said the 9-year-old eatery only began delivery service a few months ago. She said Chamnan likes to dress differently, so, as a marketing ploy, she asked him to dress up as the web-slinging superhero.
She said sales have increased since the costumed deliveries began, so she plans to buy Chamnam different superhero suits.
