PSC Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya

Tuesday, Sept. 20, Treasure Hill – Stableford

On Tuesday we went to Treasure Hill and driving up on the 331 we saw a dark sky which promised some inclement conditions.  But we were lucky as the rain stayed away.  We had almost a private course in the morning and it was in very good condition.  It was pity we had only one group today.

(L-R) Paddy Devereux with Martin Hayes, Willem Lasonder and Sam Gettinby.

Martin Hayes (H/cap 19) was the man of the day.  He made a birdie on the second hole with 25 yard putt and only a slip on the ‘crocodile hole’ kept him from a real high score.  He was the winner with 38 stableford points ahead of Paddy Devereux (19) in second with 32 points.

The near pins went to Jonathan Pratt and Martin Hayes (twice).

Thursday, Sept. 22, The Emerald – Stableford

We played The Emerald on Thursday and despite heavy rain the night before we found a course in very good condition.  Again today the rain stayed away during our game and we played a 5-ball from the white tees.

Unfortunately there were no spectacular results to announce but it was thrilling until the last hole and the differences in the scores were small.  The winner was Paddy Devereux with 34 stableford points, followed by Willem Lasonder (23) with 33.

Nears pins were claimed by Willem Lasonder, Sam Gettinby (24) and Jonathan Pratt.
