An elderly British man died after apparently suffering a diabetic convulsion.
Terence George Healey, 73, was found by police and Sawang Boriboon Foundation medics at his Saichon Apartments room in Pattaya Feb. 1. He was lying peacefully on his bed when police arrived.
Long-time girlfriend Sutin Hwangkhaklang, 37, said he suffered from diabetes and had gone into convulsions around 12:30 a.m. However, hypertension and angina medications were found next to his bed, indicating perhaps he had a heart condition.
Sawang Boriboon Foundation rescuers transferred the body to the forensic institute for autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Police said they have no reason to suspect the death was from anything other than natural causes and notified the British embassy.
